Cookies & Browser Storage
A specific explanation of the current application’s browser storage and optional analytics controls.
1. Current storage inventory
The application uses sessionStorage, a browser storage mechanism distinct from a cookie, for puzinski-effects. It stores the value “paused” or “playing” so the motion control can follow your choice while you navigate in that browser session. It does not contain project answers or a marketing identifier.
The analytics choice is stored in localStorage under puzinski-analytics-choice-v1, with the choice and its timestamp, for up to 180 days before the application asks again. It stores no inquiry answers. When analytics is allowed, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits and sessions. Their provider-controlled lifetime may differ from the choice-storage period; withdrawing clears accessible Analytics cookies on this domain. Motion storage is session-scoped under normal browser behavior. Browsers can restore sessions, so an exact deletion time is not guaranteed. Project form answers are not intentionally saved to localStorage or sessionStorage by this application; your browser may independently offer autofill or form restoration.
3. Your choices
Use Pause effects / Resume effects to change motion. The site also reads the browser’s reduced-motion preference. You can clear this site’s browser storage through your browser controls. Restricting session storage may mean the preference is not remembered.
Netlify Web Analytics is enabled at the hosting layer and reports on infrastructure requests independently of the optional Google Analytics choice. See the Privacy Notice for the information involved. The optional analytics panel offers Allow analytics and Decline analytics. Neither choice affects access to the website or inquiry forms. Use Analytics settings in the footer to change the choice. Declining keeps the Google tag unloaded; withdrawing an earlier choice disables analytics and clears accessible Analytics cookies. Global Privacy Control keeps optional analytics off. Storage restrictions may prevent a preference from being remembered, in which case optional analytics does not start without a fresh choice.
